1848-1858 Text and 17 plates, 12mo, later blue cloth with gilt title on spine. Three books on hymenopterous insects in the British Museum combined. Library stamp on the front pastedown, two leaves with tears, otherwise good.

1909-1915 xii, 482 p., 30 figures, 10 (9 coloured) plates, large 4to, blue cloth. Some wear on spine and joints. Title-page and content-page foxed/browned. Plates 7-10 lack captions leafs, Eight plates have their back reinforced with narrow paper strip where there was a faint fold. Plate 8 and 10 have no text on upper and lower margin, and several plates show cross marks. Library stamps and ex libris of A. Diakonoff. Although it has some signs of age and use and part of the plates have some issues, still a relatively good copy of the rare original edition (not the later reprint).

Inscribed on the front wrapper by the entomologist Westwood. Text and plate very good.
