1901 (3rd ed.) Two parts in one. xxxii, 777, [4] p, portrait, contemporary half morocco over marbled boards (somewhat rubbed). Gilt title on spine.The work is issued in two parts which, it seems, are always found combined. Part I (xxxii, 411 pp.) deals with Papilionidae to Hepialidae, part II with Pyralidae to Micropterygidae (368 pp.). Some foxing in first and last pages, else clean. This is a special copy with annotations including new additions for the Alpes Maritimes (France) in blue which have been described by Millière in his "catalogue rais. des Lépidoptères des Alpes Maritimes" and where new species or varieties are indicated in red. This is all explained by the former owne,r who obviously lived in the Alpes Maritimes area, on the verso of the portrait. It includes a very large index.
