Ex library Charles “Haly”? (with his name written on front cover in an old hand, probably the first owner), ex library Hendrik Coenraad Blöte (with his ex libris - Dutch entomologist 1900-1990), ex library Hans Huijbrechts (with his name in pencil on title-page). Rare.This is the most important work that the German entomologist Johann Christoph Friedrich Klug (1775-1856) produced. He was professor of medicine and entomology in the Humboldt-Universitat (University of Berlin) where he curated the insect collections from 1810 to 1856. At the same time he directed the Botanic Garden in Berlin which contains his collections. Klug worked mainly on Hymenoptera and Coleoptera.
