‎Origineel Aquarel door Hugo Claus in een catalogus tentoonstelling Oostende. ** Afkomstig uit de bibliotheek van Elly Overzier, (1928-2010) Ze leerde Hugo Claus kennen in 1949. In 1952 schreef hij Drie blauwe gedichten voor Ellie. In 1953 kwam hij bij haar wonen in Rome. Over deze periode schreef Claus de sleutelroman De koele minnaar. Op 31 mei 1955 trouwde ze met Claus. In 1963 werd hun enige zoon Thomas geboren. In 1968 speelde ze Katerina in Claus' film De vijanden. Rond 1970 liet Hugo Claus zijn vrouw en zoon in de steek voor een andere Nederlandse actrice, Kitty Courbois. Daarna werkten ze wel nog samen. De offici le echtscheiding werd pas uitgesproken in 1987.[2] Na 1970 bleef Elly Claus-Overzier actief in de filmindustrie als rolverdeler en kostuumontwerper.[3] Zo bereidde ze Eric Clerckx voor op zijn hoofdrol in Robbe de Herts De Witte van Sichem. Ze ontdekte ook Sylvia Kristel. ‎

‎Summary Hugh Eterianus (1110/1120-1182) was one of the most influential theologians of the 12th century. He was born in Pisa and then moved to Byzantium, where he worked at the court of Manuel Comnenus. He was greatly appreciated for his deep knowledge of both Latin and Greek as well as for his expertise in theology and doctrinal controversies. He wrote many learned works on the relationship between Eastern and Western churches. His main oeuvre is De sancto et immortali Deo, composed around 1176-1177, at the culminating point of the Filioque controversy. In this treatise, Hugh supported the Latin side, arguing in favour the procession of the Holy Spirit from the Father and the Son. Despite his importance both as a historical figure in twelfth-century Constantinople and as a theologian, Hugh Eterianus and his output have remained almost unknown and his works never properly edited. In the wake of Antoine Dondaine's seminal contributions, Pietro Podolak and Anna Zago have now produced a new critical edition of Hugh's main treatise, De sancto et immortali Deo, based on a complete and systematic analysis of the manuscript tradition. The edition also includes four epistles transmitted with the treatise, and the editio princeps of the so called Compendiosa expositio, an anonymous commentary on Hugh's work written by a contemporary. In an appendix, readers will also find the collection of the few extant fragments of the Greek version of the main treatise.‎

‎In zijn in-memoriam in de Volkskrant prees Kees Fens de Tilburgse hoogleraar Hugo Verdaasdonk vooral als literatuurkenner, onder meer vanwege diens ?groot gevoel voor kwaliteit in de literatuur? en zijn ongeevenaarde ?belezenheid in de Nederlandse, de Europese en de Amerikaanse literatuur?. Zo werd Verdaasdonk geprezen om de grote lezer die hij ? inderdaad ? was. Maar in zijn wetenschappelijk onderzoek boog hij zich juist over de vraag op welke manier oordelen als ?kwaliteit in de literatuur? tot stand komen. Hugo Verdaasdonk werkte aan de afronding van Snijvlakken van de literatuurwetenschap toen hij in 2007 overleed, pas 62 jaar oud. Het manuscript was al in een vergevorderd stadium en wat hem voor ogen stond was duidelijk: een staalkaart geven van zijn ontwikkeling als empirisch literatuurwetenschapper.
