Haller V, 2010. - Entgegnung auf ein Manifest des "berüchtigten Schorfs" der versucht den St. Galler Abt und das Toggenburg zum Reichsfürsten zu machen und deshalb sei der Friedensschluss zwischen Zürich, Bern und St .Gallen ungütig. Nabholz (1667 - 1740) Sohn eines Zürcher Pastetenbäckers, trat nach einer Schuhmacherlehr in den Zürcher Kanzleidienst ein. Ab 1708 war er Gesandter der ref. Orte Zürich und Bern im Toggenburg. Über die Ursachen der Streitigkeiten zwischen dem Kloster St. Gallen und der Landschaft Toggenburg verfasste er ein bereits 1709 eine erste Schrift. Im Toggenburgerkrieg von 1712 wirkte er als Hauptmann und Kommissär (Oberbefehlshaber der Toggenburger Miliz). 1712-18 war er erster ref. Landammann im Thurgau. In dieser Funktion überwachte er die Durchsetzung des 4. Landfriedens von 1712 im Thurgau und vollendete 1718 eine in fünf Bänden zusammengetragene Sammlung des geltenden thurg. Rechts.
