Bound in contemporary uniform blue half leather, Raised spine with gilt title, Boards covered with marbled paper , marbled endpapers. Small wear at binding but a fine copy. The author ( 1823 - 1901 ) was highly esteemed in her time and her work seen as one of the promoting elements of the Oxford Mouvement. This is probably the first edition of the French translation of Heartsease. A nice copy in contemporary hardback."
