Peking, Published by S. Yamamoto, 1909. 1 large album, landscape format (18*27 cm) with 100 full page photographic illustrations of Peking monuments, scenes and people, with captions in chinese and english. The album has his original silk cover, a very good copy.
A very precious document on Peking, at the turn of 20th century, edited and published by the famous japanese photographer Sanshichiro Yamamoto who owned a photo studio in Peking during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. His albums and postcards were published mostly for the increasing european tourism in China.

Album of photographs published by Yamamoto Syozo House. Contains photographs of historic and scenic spots in Tianjin, Peking and its suburbs. Short and clear commentaries are added to each photo. Important visual record of China in the end of Qing period.
