Witkowski, one of France's greatest historians of medicine, was together with Cabans, one of the pioneer authors in France on historic pathology. The latter however, owing to a conflict with the Acadmie de Mdecine of Paris, presented, in scientific exile, his 'cours de six lecons' on historic pathology at Brussels. --(Paper and cover age oned, but a good copy).
