‎Le livre d'or de l'Exposition Internationale Coloniale, Maritime et d'Art Flamand - Anvers 1930. Apr s 1885 et 1894, Anvers organise en 1930 une exposition universelle pour la troisi me et pour le moment la derni re. Comme elle co ncidait avec la c l bration du centenaire de la Belgique, plusieurs villes s' taient port es candidates et le gouvernement a d cid de tenir l'exposition simultan ment dans deux lieux : Li ge et Anvers. Une division th matique est faite entre l'industrie et la science Li ge, et le commerce et les colonies Anvers. Cependant, la double exposition n'a pas t reconnue comme une exposition mondiale par le Bureau International des Expositions. L'Exposition Internationale coloniale, maritime et d'art flamand tait d'une grande importance pour la ville. En plus du marketing de la ville, l'expansion urbaine - une toute nouvelle partie de la ville a t cr e entre Berchem et l'Escaut qui s'appelle maintenant le quartier des expositions - et les grands travaux d'infrastructure - dont la construction du tunnel Waasland - ont faire d'Anvers une m tropole d'avenir. La ville elle-m me a construit deux ponts sur le Kielsevest et deux b timents d'exposition, qui ont ensuite t transform s en glise du Christ-Roi d'une part et en cole de la rue Pestalozzi d'autre part. La plus grande exposition r trospective d'art ancien flamand a probablement eu lieu dans ces b timents. Contrairement 1885 et 1894, l'exposition de 1930 ne montrait pas de village congolais. N anmoins, les visiteurs pouvaient consid rer un village noir exploit commercialement comme une attraction. Le gouvernement colonial voulait se concentrer sur les r alisations belges dans l'exploitation mini re et l'agriculture au Congo ; sur une vaste collection de sculptures, masques et ustensiles ; et sur les missions catholiques. Le monumental Palais du Congo rig cet effet a re u un caract re orientaliste, oriental , car les concepteurs pensaient que l'Afrique noire n'avait pas d'architecture propre. Fine condition. The 4 sheets with stamps are identical regarding the subject, they have however a different colour ; green , blue, two different shades of grey. Also the captions are differet ; in French (2 leaves ) , in German and in English.."‎
