Light wear to extremities, boards with a few holes and scratches with some loss of leather. First and last leaves brownspotted, but generally internally nice and clean. Rare second edition of this political satire being one of Weise’s most widely read books. During the 1670s, Christian Weise authored several groundbreaking political and satirical novels. These novels sparked a trend for the German ""political novel,"" which continued into the following decade.
