"Praedium Rusticum", poème dans lequel, de l'aveu des meilleurs critiques, Vanière s'est approché de Virgile autant qu'il est permis à un moderne d'en approcher en latin.Ouvrage qui contient la description de la vie et des travaux des champs, la publication de ce poème excita le plus vif enthousiasme pour l'auteur.Le Praedium Rusticum ne parut complet qu'en 1730. (Michaud). ‎
