The following (last) 5 photos are of great interest for French Navy history ; frontview of the Caïman-garde ; launch above water of a self-propelling torpedo ; armoured battle ship Le Courbet ; armoured battle ship Le Formidable ; armoured battle ship Le Hoche. The caption of this last pictures details that it was this ship which sank the ''Maréchal Canrobert'' ; a ship accident which took place on 7th of July 1892. Binding with some slight wear, more so at the leather, photographs in good order, the torpedo launch photo a bit more faded, but still acceptable.."
