( 1953) , in-4°, 30 x 24,5 cm, contains 107 specimen leaves , each of different paper stock , the recto printed - often a title page of a publication -, the verso giving typographical information and information on the paper used. Bound by the publisher in black half morocco, kept in a paper covered slipcase. A fine copy. Among the typographers who contributed to this specimen catalogue we find Bruce Rogers , Hans Mardersteig , Joseph Blumenthal , Saul Marks, Jan van Krimpen...working for , among others, the Curwen Press, Bodoni , Golden Cockerel Press , Chiswick Press...From the preface ; '' The inclusion of good design or good presswork, or both, is in a sense only coincident with the inclusion of good papers''. These three elements make this catalogue a typographical marvel."
