Spines somewhat rubbed at joints and outer ends spine, the atlas has one joint with some more wear.This is the final and best edition of Hofmann's work "Die Grossschmetterlinge Europas", with all the fine coloured lithographed plates, reworked by Arnold Spuler. The various families were treated by several experts, e.g. Geometridae by H. Rebel, and Tortricidae by J. von Kennel. This set is complete for the butterflies.
