A scarce hand coloured stipple engraving by George Shepheard, after Henry William Bunbury. Depicts three uniformed military men as rivals for a young woman's affections! One of a set of six plates by Shepheard after Bunbury, that were first published by Thomas Macklin in 1796. Details found under entry no. 11456 in the Catalogue of prints and drawings in the British Museum. Plate is clean and has a clear border - ideal for framing. 310 x 240 mm (12Œ x 9œ inches).
