Periodical devoted to the decorative arts with numerous woodcut illustrations and some colour lithographies. The illustrations are printed on the recto-side only, each year has a separate title and an index-leaf bound in. The design examples cover all periods of Western (and sometimes also non-westen) art as was typical in ecclectic mid-19th century France. The periodical existed until 1906 (vol. 45).
