" Antverpiae ( Antwerpen ), apud Filios Martini Nutii, 1620, in-folio, engraved title page + (15) nn pp + 426 pp + (24) (index) + (1)(printer's mark) + (1)(bl) ; (12)nn pp + 340 pp + (26)(index) + (1)(privilegium) + (1)(bl). Bound in contemporary goldtooled vellum, with traces of green silk ties, smooth spine, binding with some wear, a few dark brown stains on front cover, the outer margin of the engraved title frayed, but on the whole still in good condition. Francesco Sacchini ( Paciano - Perugia 1570 - Roma 1625) compiled a chronological study on the history of the Jesuit Order in five parts (Pars Prima - Pars Quinta). The Pars Prima was first published in Rome in 1614, and is here republished, the Pars Secunda here in first edition. These two parts describe the history of theJesuit order from the beginning till the year 1564."

Roma, apud Bartholomaeum Zannettú , 1615, in-folio, (6/8) nn pp + 578 pp + (38) nn pp (index + errata) , incomplete for one leaf, lacks the engraved title, bound in old calf, rebacked in brown morocco, endpapers renewed, binding worn but technically sound , ex-library, with two small stamps. Gilt title on spine. Francesco Sacchini ( Paciano - Perugia 1570 - Roma 1625) compiled a chronological study on the history of the Jesuit Order in five parts (Pars Prima - Pars Quinta). This Pars Prima is the first edition The work continued for over 140 years, the sixth part was published in 1750. This first part covers the history of the Jesuit order from its origins untill the year 1556 ( death of its founder Ignatius of Loyola). The volume is fully indexed. Engraved title page with loss of paper (left upper corner approx. 6 cm², lower margin with a few small holes ( not text loss). Bound in contemporary calf, double gilt fillets on both covers, raised spine. Binding worn but technically sound. Back clumsily repaired with leather patches, joints broken. Ex-library with small 19th c. rubberstamp of a castle library. Not withstanding these defects still an acceptable copy, and complete. .
