En 1947, Willy Ronis tombe amoureux de la Provence et achète un vieux mas à Gordes, village perché du Vaucluse. Il en fera son lieu de vacances, avant de décider de quitter Paris pour y vivre, de 1972 à 1983. De Gordes puis de L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, où il s'installe peu après, le photographe ne cessera d'arpenter la région, appareil en main.- 940g.- Comme neuf.‎
