London, Henry G. Bohn, 1836, in-4°, 30 x 23.5 cm, lithographed title + title + x + 43 pp + 96 lith. plates, burgundy half leather over green boards, burgundy leather label on front, library stamp and handwritten ex-libris (both from John Burnet, Glasgow). Margins browned ( or oxydized ?) over a width of only 0.5 cm, some tiny foxing spots, still a good/fine copy. Sixteen designs with scenic views, elevations and floorplans, by Peter Frederick Robinson, 1776-1858, vice president of the Institute of British Architects. London, printed for Priestly and Weale, High Street Bloomsbury..., 1833, small in-folio, 32 x 25 cm, 7 pp (including title) + 12 leaves (title Design N°1...12) + 48 plates (12 lithographs by Allom and Harding printed by Hullmandel, and 36 engravings), complete. Bound in non contemporary brown half morocco, original board retained with printed title label tipped on to the front cover, gilt title on smooth spine. Original boards a bit soiled and worn, leather in fine condition, inside a clean copy. See J. Archer ; Literature of British Domestic Architecture item 292.1 . This is the first edition. Robinson here offers 12 designs, each illustrated with 4 views and/or groundfloors in three styles; '' Timber fronted', ''Elisabethan'' and Castellated''."

The lithographical plates with some marginal staining, the engraved plates with some foxing, last pages with a waterstain in the lower margin.
