1900 Two parts in two. 29 p., 17 lithographed plates (three double or larger and folded), roy. 4to, atlas in original half cloth portfolio with mounted title, text in original printed wrappers. Rare Friedländer publication on the disastrous Phylloxera vastatrix and P. coccinea. The plates come in four different sizes, namely approx. 21.5 x 31 cm, 26 x 33 cm, 33 x 52 cm and one still larger, double folded, whereas the text volume is 26 x 17 cm. Because of the various sizes the work has become rather ephemeral. It is very well illustrated but the paper is browned due to its quality.
