Frontispiece and title with some small stains or smudges but still a fine copy. Rare Mexican edition of Ripalda's catechism. Ripalda's text was not only the vehicle to propagate the Christian belief but it served also the spread of the Spanish language in South-America. Numerous children used it as a text-book to learn Spanish. It was translated in Nahuatl , Otomi, Tarasco , Zapoteca and Maya ( to name only Mexican languages).
