‎19 pp.Un seul exemplaire au CCF (Saint-Etienne). Très rare plaidoyer en faveur d'une ligne ferroviaire reliant Montbrison à Lyon. Il remplit sa finalité : en effet, la création d'une ligne de chemin de fer en accotement de la route départementale n°1 de Lyon à Montbrison fut autorisée par une loi votée le 26 avril 1833. Cette ligne fut mise en service le 7 mars 1838. Toutefois, la compagnie exploitante fit faillite en 1844, et la concession fut abandonnée en 1848.Antoine-Ildephonse Rater (1797-1852) était maire de Montbrison de 1830 à 1837 ‎
