Rare first edition of Petersen’s work on biblical parable of the workers in the vineyard, found in the Gospel of Matthew (20:1-16). The parable tells the story of a landowner who hires workers at different times of the day to work in his vineyard but pays them all the same wage which has been interpreted in various ways in Christian teachings.
