The first two volumes of this set with many annotations (probably by Eisner himself) and inserted are some additional notes, original photographs used in the large two-volume issue of no 49, and an original coloured drawing of three Chinese specimens of Parnassia.The German entomologist Curt Eisner (1890-1981) was a specialist on the butterfly subfamily Parnassinae, and started a series of papers that he named Parnassia Nova after the journal of that name (without Nova of course) by the Swedish entomologist Felix Bryk.
