Old vellum (top of spine slightly damaged). Upper margin of a few quires cut a bit short ( never in the text) , still a nice copy without any stains, of the second much enlarged edition of this important emblem book. The first edition is from 1551 and contains only 118 emblems without an explanatory text. In 1562 C. Plantin published the first Latin translation in Antwerp. USTC 6743. Adams P 291..
