Apart from the contract this extensive official report contains also historical information and motivation wich led to the take over by the new Belgian Government of the Brussels' city library, The Fine Arts Museum, The Science Museum etc. which were until now in the possession of the city of Brussels. It contains also detailed descriptions of the buildings involved, estimations of the value of each individual painting ; list of natural history objects such as stuffed animals, exotic shells, etc. The reports on the individual collections were written by the respective curators or specialists ; e.g. for the buildings ; architect Cluysenaer ; The Library ; Pie Namur.
