‎1900 160 p., 18 chromolithographed plates., publisher's full colour pictorial boards. A nice popular book on European butterflies. With the lepidopterological bookplate of F.J. Waage on the front paste-down. Nothing is known about Nemos; it may even be a pseudonym, as nemos in Latin means "no-one". Waage was an early 20th century Dutch illustrator, editor, and translator of natural history books. Text paper age-toned, one plate slightly frayed at the fore-edge, the plates otherwise quite good, clean. Horn-Schenkling II(3), p. 171.‎
