1923 185 p., 2 full colour plates, 1 b/w plate of wing nervation, later green cloth with gilt title on spine. Speckled edges. This is fascicule 182 of the Genera Insectorum. This part deals with homopterous families of which the often brightly coloured species superficially resemble Lepidoptera. The author, the Austrian entomologist Leopold Melichar (1856-1924) lived just long enough to see this fine work in print. Several taxa are new. Small label on the spine. Scarce; especially as a bound copy.

1922 Six loose engraved and (partly) hand-coloured plates of this very rare work on East African insects and arthropods. Offered here are plates drawn by the sisters Marthe and Juliette Vesque of Homoptera. Plate size small folio (28 x 36 cm). One plate with some very slight and faint small stains, remainder very clean and bright.Maurice Edmond Charles Rothschild (1881-1957) financed and organized (together with Henri Neuville) a collecting expedition in East Africa; travelling from Djibouti, across Eritrea to Ethiopia and Kenya. The specimens were presented to the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle. A large number of entomologists, including Charles Rothschild, worked on the specimens and their descriptions were published in the first two volumes of this publication. Only 400 copies were printed. Spoiler alert: A complete set of 100 (extra large) plates of this expedition will be offered in a deluxe paper catalogue, featuring the rarest and never before offered books I have in stock. To be issued early next year (1925)!

All are major revisions with many new genera and species. Library stamps. A few marginal annotations in pencil. A very good copy.

An in-depth study with many new genera and species, and fine illustrations. Originally published in the Annalen of the Kaiserlich-Königliches Naturhistorisches Hofmuseum. This is an offprint with a new title page, however with the same pagination. Boards and outer ends spine rubbed. Bookplate on front paste-down, otherwise a good copy. Not in Horn-Schenkling or Cat. BM(NH).

1898 88 p., 6 plates, contemporary half cloth over marbled boards. Gilt title on spine. A well-illustrated monograph of this family that somewhat resembles butterflies. Numerous new species are included. Published in the Annalen of the Kaiserlich-Königliches Naturhistorisches Hofmuseum. A few stamps on front flyleaf and first text page margin, otherwise a very good and well-bound copy.
