(Originalens titel: ""Remarks on the Present System of Road Making."" samt Patersons ""Om offentlige Veies Anlæg og Vedligeholdelse, samt Undersøgelser angaaende MacAdams System for Vejlægning, saa og Brugen af brede Hjul.""). Heraf begrebet ""Macadamisering"", en teknik, som anvendes den dag idag. - The first Danish edition (as offered here) of McAdams work is a translation of the 8th edition, London 1824.‎
