The album belonged to Maria D. we find entries from her friends named: Helena von Münchhausen, , Maria von Bernuth, Wanda (and also Adelheid) von Manowski-Manon, Ella Tuve, Elsbeth von Bernuth (aus Calcar), Martha Warendorf. The album was composed in the Hanover region around 1875 -1886 (some of the entries are dated). Fine specimen of an ''Album Amicorum'', unfortunately we were not able to identify the owner. All texts are written in a cursive gothic German hand. Loosely inserted at the end are ca. 20 drafts of letters and poems etc in the same style as the album entries. One item is an invoice of a Trierer juwelry shop: printed invoice, owner Joseph Lortz, dated 20/9/1885. The item sold is a ring; price 8,50 Mark. The invoice is made to Lieutenant von Daniels. In 1891 was born in Trier Alexander Edler von Daniels. He fought as German general in Stalingrad (born 17/3/1891 - 6 /1/1960). There may be a connection, but we could not find out the parents name of this general."
