‎1851 xxviii, 180 p., 10 folded col. lithographed pls, 1 folded col. map, 4to, contemporary, late 19th century cloth. A few repaired tears in the plates and text. Plates with some slight foxing.A curious mix of ethnography and natural history depicting and describing the different global areas. The 10 large folded chromo-lithographed plates (by O.D. Emrik) are charming, and represent eskimos, indians and other ethnic people (including Europeans) together with the animals and vegetation from the different regions.‎
