Volume II ; (16)nn pp + 432 pp +(12)nn pp (index) + 67 pp + (1)(bl), complete. Bound in contemporary full overlapping vellum, traces of ties, vellum a bit soiled, some leaves very slightly browned, still a fine/good copy. Charles Loyseau (1564 - 1627) was president of the Parisian Bar and is chiefly remembered for his study ''Traité des ordres et simples dignités'', first published in 1610. His collected works are published here for the first time (see Camus ; Bibliothèque choisi de livres de droit item 1449.)."

Paris, chez la veuve Abel L'Angelier, 1615, in-4°, title printed in red and black with woodcut vignette + (22) nn pp + 650 pp + (14)nn pp (table) ; title with vignette + (2)nn pp + 94 pp. Contemporary full overlapping vellum, traces of ties, vellum a bit soiled, clear marginal waterstains especially in the second half of the book, waterstains not affecting the quality of the paper. Still an acceptable copy. Charles Loyseau (1564 - 1627) was president of the Parisian Bar and is chiefly remembered for his study '' Traité des ordres et simples dignités'', first published in 1610. His collected works were published in 1666 by Claude Joly, cannon of Notre Dame de Paris. The first edition of the traicté was from 1601. Other editions were published in 1606 and 1614 (3rd edition). This fourth edition not in the BN Paris."
