Contemporary full calf, spine with 5 raised bands, gilt lettered and gilt floral decorations in compartments (front joint broken; sides have quite some loss of leather). With a fine engraved portait of Lorry by Aug. de St. Aubin after a drawing by C.N. Cochin.‎

‎** Rare. Lorry is considered as the father of French dermatology. This is his last work, published posthumously by Jean-Nol Hall (1754-1822). -- (Some scattered foxing; uper margin of the last 20 pages sligthly waterstained; a mediocre copy, priced accordingly).‎
