Rare second edition of Lehmann's famous and highly popular travel-guide, a precursor to the Baedekers, which went through numerous edition throughout the 18th century. It contain information on currencies, prices, inns, postal services, etc. and the second part being devoted to to postal routes, timetables, postal carriges and postal regulations.

Complete. Bound in contemporary full vellum, both covers with a blind-stamped coat of arms ( Ost-Frisian count Cirksema). Leather title label on smooth spine. Binding a bit soiled, some leaves lightly browned; but still a very fine copy. With the modern small printed label of the Parisian book dealer ''Jean Clavreuil''. Complete run of the first year 1699 ; from issue 1 (3 januari 1699) untill issue 52 ( 26 december 1699). In all 9 years were published. Very rare first year, in original edition, of this German newspaper.."
