" Halle, in den Gebauerschen Buchhandlung, 1822, small in-4°, 23 cm, xii pp + 234 pp + 13 plates (mostly folding, some with handcoloured initials). Bound in contemporary dark marbled boards, smooth spine with a red leather title label. Edges painted red. Binding with traces of use especially at the extremeties where the dark marbled paper has completely worn off. Interior fine but some plates with some light foxing. Interesting copy of the first edition. The copy of Guido Kisch, with his manuscript ex-libris and date when he acquired the book (Dezember 1918). Guido Kisch (Prague 1889 - Basel 1985) , of jewish descent, became a specialist in Legal History and immigrated in 1935 to the United States, he returned to Europe (Basel) in 1962. Part V of the book ; '' Das älteste Culmsche Rechtsbuch...'' pp 205-212 has been annotated and twice extensively corrected against the original German manuscript text. The first time Kisch even notes the day on which he worked on the document (August 20th 1930).."
