Plates nice and clean, except plates 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8 which have some foxing (mostly marginal). Plate 28 is missing (a photocopy is added).Genera des Coléoptères d'Europe was published in 4 volumes. This is the first part of volume four. The back board gives some details on the publication of this important work. It was planned to be published in 86 installments with 3 plates each. Every month two installments should be published. Of course this was wishful thinking, it took 12 years to finish this work. In all 29 fine hand-coloured plates depicting Curculionides (= Curculionidae), one of the largest families of beetles.
