[II] Antverpiae, Ex officina Christophori Plantini, Architypographi Regij , 1576, in-8, 162 x 105 mm, 230 pp + (2)nn pp (errata ). Complete, collation identical with Voet n°2343. This is the third edition of Horatius' works published by Plantin. In order to match the text with the index prepared by the Polish priest Thomas Treterus, residing in Rome with Stanilas Hosius, Plantin had to copy exactly the Lyons edition by S. Gryphius of 1545. Which is what he did. After some difficulties and delays Plantin could finish Treterus' index on the 15th of March 1576 (as indicated in the colophon). This explains the difference of the year on the titlepages. (See Voet 1382 and 2343 with, as ever, his clear and detailed explanation on the genesis of this Horatius' edition and the separate index.).
