‎Paris, Curmer, s.d. (vers 1840) ; in-8, XI pp. + 291 pp., reliure demi-veau brun, dos lisse, pièce de titre noire. Harriet Matineau était une journaliste et sociologue britannique du 19ème siècle, issu d'une famille de huguenots français émigrés en Angleterre. Traductrice d'Auguste Comte en anglais, Harriet Martineau avait aussi la phobie d'être enterrée vivante. Dans son testament, elle légua tous ses biens à son médecin. En échange, ce dernier devrait lui couper la tête. Illustrations dans le texte. Bon état.‎
