‎In priorem B. Pauli apostoli ad Timotheum epistolam commentarius. Alter item ejusdem authoris commentarius in priorem B. Petri apostoli canonicam epistolam.‎

‎Louvain, Jean Bogard, 1568.‎

//// First edition. He was a defender of Baianism, the school of thought of theologian Michael Baius, which reflects a turn to Augustinianism over the scholasticism and was the predecessor of Jansenism. Several of Jan Hessel's theological proposals have been condemned by the Sorbonne. The second part has its own title page; the pagination skips from 38 to 75 without missing. Stamp repeated from the seminary of Beauvais on the title, a small hole caused by a stamp scratched, remnants of clasps. Very fine stamped contemporary binding.
