The colored presentation plate is inscribed to Clara Sturges, the title bears a small owner's name stamp ''Edward Pomeroy''. Contemporary full black leather, both covers ornated with intricate gilt fillets and flowers, central panel with blindtooled flower, all edges gilt, spine with gilt compartments. Endpapers renewed with matching paper, spine expertly restored (some loss of gilt decoration at spine, some wear at extremities of the binding, in all still a good copy with a fine interior).
