" Japanese (Leporello) binding, booksize 34,5 x 34,5 cm, woodcuts folded in three, backed-up with paper, end-boards loose, with traces of light blue silk, endpapers goldsprinkled. Binding worn but interior very well preserved (only a small tear in the fold of one plate). The woodcuts depict famous battle scenes in the war and are all signed by the artist. Two plates bear the name of the editor. Among the artists; Kokunimasa (3), Mijita Toshihide (2), Mizuno Toshikata (2), Gekko Ogata (2), Yosai Nobukazu (4), Kobayashi Kiyochika (6) and one unidentified.."
