1919-1922 12 parts in one. About 260 p., 18 plates (2 coloured), later cloth with covers bound in. An important natural history expedition to the Arctic of which the results were published in 16 volumes. This is the complete part on insects (parts A-K; of which J and K appear to be rare), with contributions from several authors, for instance Collembola by Folsom, Neuroptera by Banks, Crane flies by Alexander, Carabidae and Silphidae by Fall, Hemiptera by Van Duzee, spiders by Emerton, Lepidoptera by Gibson (with two full colour plates), Orthoptera by Walker, etc., etc. Many new taxa are introduced here. The work is concluded by a general paper on Arctic insect life by Frits Johansen, and the index. Plates also depict scenery and habitats. Library stamp on front paste-down, some damp-staining to the preliminary papers' top and bottom margins, otherwise a good, clean, complete copy.
