This periodical , published under the auspices of king Leopold II of Belgium, sole proprietor of the Independant free state of the Congo. It was started to counter the heavy political critique, mainly from the UK against the king's colonial politics in Congo . It ceased its publication in dec. 1907 when the king ''donated'' the colony to Belgium and it became Belgian Congo. The articles are printed in three colums (French, English and German). This periodical contains important information on the colonial history of the Congo and its relation with its new rulers: the Belgian state. Apparently very rare, no complete run available in the OCLC catalogue (situation july 2024)."
