"11. Bruxelles, au Bureau du Journal des Economistes (1842-1846) later; Méline, Cans et Cie. lg.in-8°, 2 issues per year, sewn, orig. wrappers (wrapper soiled, bookblocks sometimes broken, interiors fine, should be bound ). AVAILABLE; 1842 (1), 1843 (1.2), 1844 (1.2), 1845(1), 1846(2), 1847(2), 1848(1.2), 1849(2), 1850(1.2), 1851(1.2), 1852(1.2, both these last issues lack pages at the end). Brussels' edition partly based on the Parisian periodical ''Journal des Economistes''. It only appeared from 1842-1852. So out of 24 volumes which were published 17 are present here. Among the contributors we find F.Bastiat, Blanqui, M.Chevalier, C.Dunoyer, H.Dussard, Horace Say, Wolowski, Rossi, Louis Reynaud a.o. The preface in the first volume (1842) is by Louis Reybaud. The first article is by Charles Dunoyer; ''Des Objections qu'on a soulevées dans ces derniers temps contre le régime de la concurrence.''. This periodical is quite rare. We assume that at least some French contributors used this Brussels publication to air economic ideas which were not tolerated in Paris, but we have not been able to verify this.."
