‎Jean Dupin est sans doute le plus ancien poète bourbonnais connu (vers 1302-1372). On ne connait de lui qu'un seul livre imprimé ; "Le Livre de bonne vie, qui est appelé Mandevie", publié pour la première fois en 1485, par Antoine Neyret à Chambéry. Louis Karl fait le point sur la biographie connue du poète, décrit les manuscrits conservés ainsi que les diférentes éditions de son oeuvre ; il en propose ensuite une analyse. ‎
