Tinka Pittoors (born 1977 in Brasschaat, lives and works in Kapellen) explores the utopia of a malleable world in her sculptures and objects. By combining recognizable and new forms and materials, she searches for a sculptural reality that runs parallel to the known world. Where the materials are recognizable from our reality, the form sets itself against it. This creates images that balance between two worlds. The gap between nature and culture often serves as a starting point for examining this dual reality.
