First Dutch translation of Cooper's classic "Observations on the effects which take place from the destruction of the membrana tympani of the ear"[In Phil. Transactions of the Royal Soc. Vol 90 (1800) and Vol 91 (1801). "In it Cooper showed that two patients with perforatons of both eardrums could hear perfectly well although it had always been thought that this condition resulted in deafness". The second paper was entited "Futher observations....
