A work by the American entomologist John Henry Comstock (1849-1931). Well-illustrated and with the coloured plates tissue guarded with explanatory text printed on the guards. This is the second edition "in color", the first being published in 1897. Former owner's name written on front paste-down, there also a typed presentatation label. Small, inoffensive blindstamp on explanatory leaf, otherwise a very good clean copy.
