Bound in contemporary full vellum. Binding with some wear , a few light marginal waterstains in the first and last leaves, a tear in the last leaf (without loss of paper), some pages slightly and evenly browned. In all a fine/good copy. On the first fly leaf the ex-libris name Carolus de Marguerite in a near contemporary hand. This is the last edition of this important work by Clavius. It is the only edition which appeared after his death. In all there were 16 editions of this important cosmological work, the first one was in Rome in 1570. De Backer-Sommervogel Vol. II - 1212.
