Both covers with black colored decorations, all edges gilt and chiselled. Binding a bit soiled but still a fine/good copy. Interior with some minor stains, as usual, title page dustsoiled and with a slightly frayed outer margin, also with a manuscript ex-libris in ink, dated 1640. USTC Nr. 700438 - VD16 C 2802.. The author Chytraeus (Greek for his German name '' Kochhafe '') composed here a collection of inscriptions, epithaphs etc. which he collected during his travels in Western Europe. He became dean of the Bremen Gymnasium in 1593.
